Tiramisu Base builds a classic tiramisu cream filling from a single Pastry Star powder, made in the United States. Whole milk and heavy cream whip it into soft peaks that layer over ladyfingers and set under refrigeration.

The base has a sweet flavor, and added stabilizers keep the whipped filling firm once it sets. The result is a smooth, creamy tiramisu layer ready to assemble over prepared ladyfingers.

Build the dessert on a layer of Lady Fingers, which keep their shape when soaked in coffee or liqueur, giving the cream a firm base that holds clean, distinct layers.

Instructions

Preparation
  • Pour 500 grams (17.6 oz) whole milk and 500 grams (17.6 oz) heavy cream into a mixing bowl, then add 450 grams (1 lb) tiramisu base.
  • Whip on high speed for 2 minutes to soft peaks, taking care not to overmix.
  • Layer the mixture over prepared ladyfingers and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
Storage
  • Store in cool, dry conditions. Do not refrigerate the unopened mix.
