Same-Day Shipping
Place your order by 2:00 PM Eastern Time Monday through Friday and we'll ship it out the same day.
Same-day shipping does not apply:
- On the following holidays: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
- To chocolate orders with cold pack protection, which ship Monday through Wednesday only (see below)
- When severe weather or other circumstances outside our control cause a delay. In those cases, we'll ship as soon as we're able
Ground/Home Delivery rates:
- $12.95 for most addresses in the 1 to 2 day transit zones (see map below)
- $14.95 for all other areas
Express shipping options are available and will appear at checkout. For large orders, freight may be used in place of standard ground shipping. These typically ship the next business day. Please note that wholesale account pricing differs from the rates listed here.
Chocolate Shipping Protection
Chocolate is temperature sensitive, and warm conditions during transit can cause melting, blooming, or other heat damage. To protect your order, we offer cold pack protection: insulated cartons with gel packs sized to your order.
How cold pack size and quantity are determined
Cold pack size and quantity are calculated automatically from the weight and volume of chocolate in your order. You don't need to choose a size, the system selects the most efficient packing for your order.
How it works
When you add chocolate to your cart, you'll be asked whether to include cold pack protection. Your choice applies to the entire order and can be changed any time from the cart.
- From May 1 through September 30, cold pack protection is the default. You may decline if you prefer.
- From October 1 through April 30, cold pack protection is declined by default. You may add it for an extra layer of protection.
Required shipping speed with cold pack
If you choose cold pack protection, your order must arrive within two business days. At checkout, only shipping options that meet this requirement will be available. Depending on your location, that may include standard ground (for 1 to 2 day transit zones) or an express service.
Dispatch schedule with cold pack
Cold pack orders ship Monday through Wednesday only, so the gel packs remain effective through delivery. Orders placed after the same-day cutoff or on Thursday through Sunday will dispatch on the next available Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday.
Declining cold pack protection
If you decline cold pack protection, your chocolate ships uninsulated on our standard same-day schedule. Heat damage to uninsulated chocolate is not covered under our refund policy. Declining is an explicit acknowledgment that you accept this risk.
Large chocolate orders (freight)
For chocolate orders that would normally ship by freight, please reach out to us. We have pallet-sized coolers capable of protecting your chocolate through two-day freight delivery.
Failed Deliveries
Please double-check your shipping address before placing an order. We guarantee delivery only to the address provided at checkout. If a delivery issue arises, we'll do our best to reach you by phone or email. Packages that cannot be delivered will be returned to us, and reshipping to a corrected address will be at the customer's expense. Shipping charges for failed deliveries are non-refundable.
Order Cancellations
Need to cancel an order? Contact us as soon as possible — we'll do everything we can to accommodate your request.
