Description

Spanish Flan Mix delivers a classic flan, also known as crème caramel, from a Pastry Star powder cooked with whole milk and heavy cream and chilled in ramekins. 

Egg yolks give the set its richness and a smooth, clean finish, carried by a sweet vanilla flavor. Swapping the heavy cream for additional whole milk lightens it into a European style flan.

Instructions

Preparation
  • Combine 200 grams (7 oz) Spanish flan base with 750 grams (26.5 oz) whole milk and 250 grams (8.8 oz) heavy cream.
  • Heat the mixture, then pour it into ramekins and refrigerate to set.
For a European Style Flan
  • Replace the heavy cream with one additional cup (about 240 grams or 8.5 oz) of whole milk.
Storage
  • Store in cool, dry conditions. Do not refrigerate the unopened mix.
